After decades of existence as an O&G Club, a long-cherished dream was realized in December 2023 with the formation of the Palakkad O & G Society. This milestone was the result of the sincere and dedicated efforts of the then President, Dr. Emy, and the then Secretary, Dr. Swapna, along with the invaluable support and guidance of senior members. Their commitment led to the successful transformation of the club into a society affiliated with FOGSI and KFOG. In recognition of their contributions, they graciously agreed to continue as the Founder President and Founder Secretary.

Palakkad, being a vast district, still has several remote areas where access to quality medical care remains limited. One of our primary goals is to bridge this gap by organizing outreach programs in underdeveloped regions, ensuring that comprehensive healthcare services reach every section of the community and that no one is left behind.

We also envision creating a vibrant platform for our members to strengthen professional bonds and promote academic growth. This will be achieved through regular CMEs, family gatherings, and our flagship annual event – the POGSUMMIT. Furthermore, we aim to foster meaningful collaboration between the government and private sectors, working together for the overall betterment of society.
