Thrissur Obstetric and gynaecological society ( TOGS) is a registered nonprofit society affiliated to Kerala Federation of Obstetrics and gynaecology ( KFOG) and Federation of Obstetrics and gynaecology society of India ( FOGSI).

TOGS had a humble beginning in the year 1991 with 30 members. Dr V P Paily was the president and Dr A V Ramachandran the secretary.

Later with the efforts of our senior members TOGS constructed it’s own building called TOGS Academia which was used for all our activities and also served as office of TOGS and KFOG.

In 2012 we became category B society at National level and then got up- graded to category A. The visionary leadership , unparalleled dedicated teamwork of its members made it one of the most vibrant societies and brought it numerous accolades at National & State level .

TOGS got the best society award at FOGSI National level twice , in 2015 and 2019.

In 2025 , in addition to the oncology award , we were also awarded the prestigious FOGSI D K Tank award for the best society in Reproductive health activity .

At the state level we have been the best society for 8 consecutive years We have conducted AICOG 2006 which was an unparalleled success.

We also had the opportunity to successfully conduct All Kerala conferences and Yuva fogsi conferences.

TOGSICON our annual international conference , is our proud project started 15 years back in 2010 . In addition we conduct academic updates (online and offline ) for consultants & postgraduates ,staff nurses, monthly CMEs and Community health activities

At present we have 297 members led by by our President Dr Neetha George and Secretary Dr Resmy C R , Treasurer - Dr Venugopal .

We always try to excel ourselves and there by benefit the society at large .We hope to achieve further heights guided by the wisdom of our seniors and propelled by dynamism of our young members.
