The Urogynaecology Committee of Kerala Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (KFOG) is committed to promoting excellence in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of pelvic floor disorders across Kerala.

The committee focuses on enhancing awareness, strengthening clinical skills, and encouraging evidence-based practices in the management of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, and other urogynecological conditions.

Recent initiatives include CME programs (Edge Webinars) , skill-based workshops on pelvic floor assessment and surgical techniques, and academic sessions focusing on safe practices and updated guidelines.

Plans for the Upcoming Year

In the coming year, the committee aims to:

• Launch structured training modules on preventive urogynaecology for young practitioners.
• Conduct awareness campaigns on pelvic floor health for women across different life stages.
• Develop clinical practice recommendations tailored to regional needs.
• Promote research initiatives and data collection in pelvic floor disorders within Kerala.
• Encourage establishment of dedicated pelvic floor clinics in more institutions across the state.
